Classes

Junior Classes
As from the start of season 2008/9 the junior classes will be as follows.
Small wheel automatic machines not allowed.
(a) 10-13 years.
Any machine from 79cc. to 100cc. engine capacity.

(b) 13-16 years. Any Machine from 79cc. to 125cc. engine capacity.Junior riders up to the age of 16 years cannot use 250cc. 4 stroke machines.
ALL JUNIOR RIDERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY PARENT OR GUARDIAN ( as signed on membership form ).
Riders age will be as at the first meeting in October each season, if a rider has a birthday during that season he/she can stay in that original class. Lanyard switches and a minimum of one efficient brake must be fitted to all junior machines. (Parents/Guardians).. Please ensure your rider complies with the club rules and understands the meaning of the flags.

ROAD MACHINE CLASSES.
(a) 200cc. Air cooled / 125cc. Water cooled.
(b) 250cc. Air or water cooled.
(c) Unlimited air or water cooled. Minimum engine size 300cc.
Machines must have original frame and engine. Position can be changed and any unwanted brackets removed. Any swinging armor suspension can be used but suspension type fitted to original machine must remain the same ie; Machines fitted with units such as cantilever or pro-link, for example, must retain this original type although the make can be changed. Machines must retain their original fuel tanks, although a smaller tank that is in keeping with the type is permissible.
Internal engine modifications allowed but external appearance must remain. 
1mm oversize allowed for rebores, any carburetors or ignitions can be used.

High performance enduro machines are not permitted in the road bike class they must enter the M/X classes.  

Lanyard switches and one efficient brake on 2 stroke machines, brake optional on 4 strokes.  ( PUMP FUEL ONLY )

MOTOCROSS CLASSES
(a) 125cc. 2 stroke / 250cc.  4 stroke     
(b)  250cc.   
(c)  Unlimited over 300cc.

Machines must be as per manufacture, lowering of suspension allowed. Lanyard switches and one efficient brake on all machines. Pump fuel only.
Machines not eligible for road bike classes, (ie: enduro/ trail types ) must enter the appropriate above capacity classes.

GRASS TRACK CLASSES
(a) 250cc. 
(b) 500cc.  
Machines designed for grass track and/or speedway events. Lanyard switch and one efficient brake on 2 strokes, brakes on 4 strokes optional. Dope type fuel allowed.

QUAD CLASSES
(a) 250cc.2 stroke/400cc.4 stroke.
(b)300cc/350cc.2 stroke.450cc.unlimited 4 stroke.

Machines must be as per manufacturer (NOT FARM MACHINES) Modification to engine and chassis allowed.
Lanyard switches and one efficient brake must be fitted to all machines. Pump fuel only.

SIDECARS
Up 1300cc. Must be conventional racing sidecar outfit. No restrictions on engine or chassis modifications. Minimum age for driver and passengers 16 years. Lanyard switches and one efficient brake must be fitted. Dope type fuel allowed.

TYRES
All tyres must be of the type in common use for sand racing / grass track / motocross competition use.
Paddle type tyres not allowed in any class.

NUMBER PLATES  
Black on white or white on black only. Fitted on front and left side.
